OUR OWN SERENADE

The dance-movement experiment based on the street dance culture.

Are we children? Adults? Juveniles? When does a person cease being a child and becomes an adult? What caused this rebirth? And can these two phases be safely separated? Shouldn't we still be children rather than adults in some situations? And isn't it useless to take on the role of an adult too soon?

The project Our own serenade was created as a master's project at DIFA JAMU. The first idea of the project was created thanks to the poem of the same name by Alexandra Bolfová and is inspired by this poem. In the project we use street dance styles as the main movement material, enriched with other dance and movement elements.
